As part of St. Vincent de Paul, each one of us has the opportunity, every day, to make an impact in the lives of others. Especially as Vincentians, our call is to take that extra step – to go the extra mile to make someone feel valued. Recognizing the humanity in each other and serving with compassion, is the message of Christmas.

May the baby in the manger remind us that there is power in the little things that we do every day that show we care.

Mattress Delivery Charge:
The board has approved reinstating the $35 delivery fee per order. You will see this adjustment on your next bill from the council. We will be reassessing in six months both, the delivery fee and the cost of items based on gas prices and inflation.

Safeway Gift Card orders from the Council:
Per the Board of Directors meeting in November 2023, conferences who order gift cards will be asked to pick them up at the council offices by pre-arranging a visit with finance@svdpseattle.org

AT THIS TIME, WE EXPECT ALL CONFERENCES TO BE USING THE TREASURY PORTION OF ConfDB TO ADDRESS THIS CRITICAL IRS REQUIREMENT.

Thank you to all who are following board approved policy.

For those of you who might still have questions, here are the needed steps you need to take in the next couple of weeks:

  1. Collect all W-9’s (per the policy)
  2. Email W-9’s to finance@svdpseattle.org or send via regular Post Office to: St. Vincent de Paul at 5950 4th Ave S. Seattle, WA 98108
  3. All W-9’s require (name of payee and tax number of payee – no matter the address) should be included on the document and in ConfDB.
  4. A master list of already collected W-9’s will be updated monthly, and it can be found on ConfDB.
  5. Finance will review if the W9 matches the IRS and we will address discrepancies at this time. DO NOT ALTER or OMIT any information.

Become a Vincentian SVdP Helpline Volunteer!

Helpline volunteers will undergo an orientation, training and shadowing experience with a Helpline Specialists.

This is a long-term volunteer position with a 2–3-hour shift once a week between the hours of 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
