District Council President
Dear Vincentian Members,
Peace and blessings to you.
On behalf of the Nomination Committee, we are pleased to announce that the nomination window for the next District Council President is now open, from May 18 to May 30.
We invite all eligible members to prayerfully consider submitting their name or recommending a fellow Vincentian for this important leadership role.
About the Role
The District Council President is a servant leader responsible for guiding and supporting all Conferences within our Council. This includes fostering Vincentian spirituality, facilitating collaboration, overseeing Council operations, and representing the Council at the regional and national levels.
The position is a three-year term, renewable once, per The Rule, Part III, Article 12.
Eligibility Criteria
As outlined in The Rule and Manual of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul:
- Must be an Active (Full) Member in good standing (Rule, Part I, Article 3.12).
- Must be a practicing Roman Catholic, to preserve the Society’s Catholic identity (Rule, Part I, Article 3.12).
- Must embody servant leadership and the Vincentian mission (Manual, Council Operations).
- Must not have served two consecutive terms as District Council President (Rule, Part III, Article 12).
